The Tam O'Shanter Motel, located at 3317 South Las Vegas Boulevard, opened in 1959. Known for its distinctive neon sign resembling a tam o' shanter cap, it operated as a family-run business for 45 years. In 2004, the motel was demolished to make way for The Palazzo resort.
