New Fabric In 2017, Battenwear opened a satellite office in Topanga Canyon, California, where it's nice and sunny during the day but deeply chilly in the mornings and evenings. When we're working in Topanga, we like to start the morning heading down out of the mountains to the beach for a surf session . . . and end the days heading higher up into the mountains on a hike. The Five Pocket Canyon Shirt was born out of a need for a great-looking, warm top layer to throw over a L/S Pocket tee or Reach-Up Sweatshirt.
