The Origin Story of Our Drawstring Pants: "I was meditating on the idea of pockets as posture. When pockets are high, it makes you uptight. Put your hands in your pockets and it tenses your shoulders. So, I thought, what if I went extra low with the pockets? Would it make me more relaxed? Less likely to reach for my phone — more likely to be in the present? So, I took pajama-soft fabric and started playing. After a few weeks, I felt like I was almost there. I just needed to tweak a few things. It was a Friday night and Sarah, the artist and photographer who manages our Curatory, was still here, so I asked her to try them on and tell me how they felt. We adjusted sizing and played with the details, until we had a prototype – well, more like fifteen prototypes over the next few weeks. Then we field-tested them at Mardi Gras. And finally, we put them into production in three tasty, relaxed, beautifully textured fabrics.” - Victor
